10 Arrowverse Heroes, Ranked By Fighting Ability | ScreenRant

With the Arrowverse being almost ten years into its run, countless DC Comics characters have been introduced within its seven shows. Some were in the hero game from their first appearance, while others developed over time into the heroes whom fans have grown to enjoy watching every week on the CW.

As the heroes encounter new threats each season, fans see them develop their skills in battle and become even stronger in their fighting ability. Some heroes' skills are superior to others, and only one stands out as the greatest fighter.

10 Jefferson "Jax" Jackson / Martin Stein (Firestorm)

Jax was just a normal guy in Central City until he agreed to merge with Martin Stein, thus resulting in the second iteration of Firestorm. Firestorm has the most unique skillset amongst all the heroes of the Arrowverse, as the matrix inside essentially turns them into a nuclear bomb in the meta-human form.

He can shoot out nuclear energy in the form of fire, absorb other forms of energy to avoid explosions, and even transform items into different forms of matter. Firestorm has developed massive amounts of strength when they are merged, and combining that with their abilities and intellect makes them tough to take out.

9 Kate Kane (Batwoman)

Over the years, DC produced many powerful versions of Batwoman, and the Arrowverse iteration of Kate was no exception. A natural athlete, she has always been the natural replacement as protector of Gotham City while her cousin, Bruce Wayne, is away. As one of the newest entrants into the Arrowverse, Kate quickly shows that her combat skills can match those of the greatest heroes.

Batwoman is a master of hand-to-hand combat, able to subdue any enemy she encounters. Her perseverance is extraordinary as well, as Kate is able to survive the biggest blows and toughest conditions, sometimes with ease. Her acrobatic fighting technique allows her to fly through the air and catch her enemies off-guard, giving her an advantage in battle.

8 Jefferson Pierce (Black Lightning)

Unlike many heroes, Jefferson Pierce developed his abilities at a young age, when he was administered a vaccine that gave him meta-human electrical powers. The early exposure has given him a head start at fully harnessing his abilities, as he can do incredible things with his electrical powers.

Jefferson can absorb electricity from nearby sources, store that electricity inside of him, and then project it towards his enemies like a lightning bolt. He can also use the magnetism in the electrical current to lift items and his opponents into the air and throw them around. When charged up, Jefferson's strength and speed are increased, adding to his already impressive abilities.

7 Barry Allen (The Flash)

After the dark matter lightning strike and chemical explosion, Barry Allen awoke with the abilities of super speed he gained from the Speed Force. Initially, he was fairly green, but even though Barry also acted like a villain at times, he grew into one of the Arrowverse's strongest and most competent heroes.

With help from Team Flash, Barry learned a bevy of abilities, like conducting enough electricity from his own body to throw lightning strikes at his enemies. When The Flash is running at top speeds, he can connect his punches with enough force to send opponents through walls. His speed also allows him to slow down the battle to his pace, giving plenty of time to think through a scenario before even engaging in combat, something that definitely puts him above the previous heroes.

6 Sara Lance (White Canary)

Sara Lance has always been a fighter, between surviving the sinking of the Queen's Gambit and her training with The League of Assassins. Her skills went up a level after her death and subsequent resurrection from the Lazarus Pit, which increased her strength and heightened her senses.

Her time with the League of Assassins trained Sara to be an expert martial artist and master all different types of weaponry, but it also taught her how to utilize stealth in battle, a trait that she's better at than any other hero. It was all of these skills that led to Sara not only joining the Legends of Tomorrow but eventually becoming their leader.

5 Oliver Queen (Green Arrow)

After the sinking of the Queen's Gambit and five years spent on Lian Yu, Oliver Queen learned how to survive and adapt. While there, the would-be Green Arrow trained under the tutelage of Slade Wilson, leading to Oliver becoming a master of hand-to-hand combat, as well as honing the tactical abilities to survey the field and strike his opponent at the best possible moment.

He became a master of weapons too, not just in the form of his trusted bow and arrow, but also in knives and swords. To survive these intense conditions, Oliver mastered the art of stealth as well, going undetected until he has his enemies beat. All of these skills led to Green Arrow being the quintessential leader of the Arrowverse heroes.

4 Amaya Jiwe (Vixen)

Of all the heroes in the Arrowverse, Amaya is the one that has the most experience as a member of a team of heroes. She was one of the heroes of the Justice Society of America, and one of their more powerful team members at that. Amaya gets her skills from her spirit totem, which allows her to harness the abilities of animals.

Those abilities can vary, from the strength of a gorilla to the speed of a cheetah. She can climb on walls like a spider, or swim as fast as a dolphin, making her skills in combat nearly endless and a massive boost to the Legends when she joined them in the present timeline.

3 Clark Kent (Superman)

Ever since his ship crashed on the farm in Smallville, Clark Kent's powers have developed to the point where he became one of Earth's greatest heroes. His Kryptonian physiology gives him enhanced senses, such as super hearing, and many vision upgrades. These allow Superman to see and hear any threat coming before it's due to strike.

Clark's super strength makes him arguably the strongest hero in the Arrowverse, able to go toe-to-toe with anyone, both friend and foe. Even when his powers are affected and not at full peak, his endurance and strength will keep him in the battle until the very end.

2 Kara Danvers (Supergirl)

As a Kryptonian, Kara has many enhanced abilities, similar to those of her cousin Clark. Super strength, heat vision, accelerated flight, and many others make her one of the strongest beings in the multiverse. What gives Kara a leg up on Clark is her larger knowledge of the universe, making her not only one of the smartest characters in Supergirl but in the entire Arrowverse.

Growing up on Krypton before its destruction, she learned a wide range of information about other planets, including Earth, surpassing the intellect of other beings. Plus, because of her experience working with the D.E.O., Kara has become an expert in tactical combat, making her a natural leader amongst her fellow heroes.

1 J'onn J'onzz (Martian Manhunter)

J'onn has been on Earth for many years, serving as the head of the Department of Extranormal Operations, or D.E.O., as they refer to it. In that role, he mastered hand-to-hand combat and served as a master technician, using the intelligence he'd gained from his time on Mars.

As a martian, J'onn has a wide range of abilities in his arsenal, such as super strength, his ability to phase through objects, and the moving of objects through telekinesis. He can use mind control on his foes, and even use a mental blast that will leave them unconscious. All of these abilities make Martian Manhunter one of the most formidable heroes in the Arrowverse.
