Breath of the Wild Has a Special Hestu Dialogue Line If Link's Naked

A player of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has discovered that the Korok Hestu has some hilarious hidden dialogue only unlocked if Link is naked. The Nintendo Switch classic may be four years old, but its vast world contains endless secrets, with many Breath of the Wild players still discovering its hidden treasures.

Whether fans have been playing the game since its release or if they're new players Breath of the Wild still has a lot to uncover, with Easter eggs, references, glitches, and cut content still being found and explored to this day. The title allows players to battle, explore, and solve puzzles at their own pace thanks to its non-linear design, with many of its gameplay mechanics offering creative freedom for those willing to put the title through its paces. Players are still discovering unique and innovative ways to use the game's tools, whether it be to uncover hidden secrets, or even to master new ways of combat or travel in Breath of the Wild.

Redditor Beanu_Reens has shared a video of Hestu's dialogue if the player speaks with the Korok while Link is naked, revealing a hilarious exchange many may have missed. Upon seeing Link, Hestu exclaims: "You are nekkid! I am nekkid! We are united in exposure!" The character goes on to perform a little dance while singing: "Nekky, nokky, nakey." The post has seen over 4,000 upvotes at the time of writing, with many commenters never having seen the exchange prior to the post.

The hidden Hestu dialogue might not be a new discovery for Breath of the Wild players, with many finding the secret lines as far back as 2017. However, it's very easy to miss. While many like to play with Link naked to provide an extra challenge, most players prefer to play suited up with armor. Link's various clothing options within the game offer different perks and benefits, such as keeping Link cool in hotter regions, or providing defense against his enemies. Going "nekkid" can put the player at a disadvantage, especially when battling with tougher enemies, which is likely why many Redditors commenting on the post had missed the lines during their time with the game.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild's many hidden secrets make it a game that keeps on giving, and it's hoped the highly-anticipated sequel will offer just as much depth and replayability within its world. Breath of the Wild 2 will see Link take to the skies in what the gameplay trailer suggests is a sky overworld similar to that of Zelda: Skyward SwordBreath of the Wild 2 is scheduled to launch sometime in 2022.
