Below Deck Med: What Chief Stew Katie Has Been Up To Since Season 6

After filming Below Deck Mediterranean season 6 last year, Katie Flood has been busy continuing her career as a chief stewardess. Viewers met Katie for the first time when she arrived aboard the Lady Michelle in Croatia for season 6 of the Bravo series. She was new to the Below Deck family and replaced long-time chief stew Hannah Ferrier, who welcomed her daughter last year. While many fans were skeptical about Katie as the replacement, she seemed to win them over by being kind to the crew.

It was clear that Katie became frustrated with some of her crewmates as the season went on, especially her second stew Lexi Wilson. Their issue began after a drunken crew night out when Lexi began talking back to Katie, as well as the bosun Malia White. While Katie and the rest of the crew expressed how that night with Lexi should have ended in a firing, Captain Sandy ultimately decided to give her another chance.

Since Katie ended her time on Below Deck Med, she has continued to work in the yachting industry. According to Katie's Instagram, she headed to Mexico shortly after the season ended in Croatia. Katie, the chief stew, shared a selfie on the beach in Mexico with a bright, neon-colored piece of body paint on her arm. A few days later, Katie shared a photo of her holding a refreshing drink while lounging on the beaches of Tulum. While in Mexico, she also visited the Chichén-Itzá, one of the greatest wonders of the world. After her much-needed getaway, Katie headed to the Caribbean to start another charter season. Katie shared a photo in December 2020 of a beautiful sunset while on charter in St. Thomas. After celebrating Christmas in the Caribbean, the 29-year-old headed to Fort Lauderdale, the city where many yachties go to begin a new charter season.

After spending some time in the US, Katie, who would work with Chef Mathew again, was back to working tirelessly as a chief stew. Her next adventure was in Panama City, sharing a number of gorgeous pictures of the many views she saw while cruising around the waters of the beautiful island. After Panama City, Katie headed to Costa Rica, then up to Los Angeles, California, and back to her favorite country, Mexico. While Below Deck Med was airing, Katie headed off on another charter in a not-so-sunny place. Katie's next charter took place in beautiful Alaska, where she shared several photos of the breathtaking scenery and adventures Alaska had to offer. The chief stew took a helicopter and enjoyed a cup of coffee while sitting on Alaskan ice. After her Alaskan charter, Katie, who should have fired Lexi, went back to Mexico for some much-needed time off.

Since Below Deck Mediterranean came to an end, Katie hasn't stopped working and exploring the many countries she has the opportunity to work in. She continues to work hard while on charter and play harder when she's on vacation. Now that it's been a year since they filmed, maybe Katie will rejoin the crew for season 7.
